Playing Pool

It took me a while to realize that they are all the same girl. This picture was taken by KatrinaRose and I found it in the Eye Candy pool on Flickr. I am very impressed by the lighting and the composition. From my point of view, the combination of overexposed and underexposed areas together with the different poses taken by the subject, gives the picture a strong sense of action without making it feel hurried.  The feeling varies from in your face to distant and ethereal. The boarder gives me the impression of looking through a window and catching a fleeting glimpse of a few moments in somebody else’s life. The mood is striking in an abstract kind of way. All in all: an intriguing photograph.
