Unarmed Gripen (Top)

Well the Gripen is almost complete. All that remains is to add the wing tips (but I wont add the stores yet). I would also like to give the vertical tail a thickness so that I can get the correct surfaces on both sides instead of a reversed surface on the right hand side. I am really pleased with the end result.

Unarmed Gripen (Bottom)

As you can see there are definitely shading discrepancies between parts of the aircraft. This is due to the different lighting conditions in the photographs used to model different areas. Unfortunately I was nt able to maintain consistent lighting. There were a total of 35 photos used in this model and they were mostly taken on my desk. A combination of changing lighting conditions in the office and strong shadows caused by the camera flash has yielded the shading you see. I think my next bit of experimentation will be with image editing in Photo Modeler so that I can hopefully brighten the photos which appear too dark.

Er captain…
