First day

Our first day in Aachen was a success. We registered as residents and opened banks accounts. Then we took the train out to Stolberg in order to start looking for the best way to get to work. It was an adventure of note, beginning by trying to understand what ticket to buy and how to buy it.

After a seriously long walk to work and about half way back, we decided to hop on the bus and try a different route back. Janita was feeling self-conscious (as was I) because we really look like tourists so I’m afraid all I got was a picture of the inside of the bus.

When we got to the station we had to wait half an hour for a train so we went for a walk and ran out of cash trying to buy a soft drink.

We made it back to the station just in time.

My feet were buggered by the end of the day.
